The Institute bundles and promotes interdisciplinary research in the field of inclusion at the University of Vechta. It makes research-based contributions to the development of theory and the implementation of inclusive approaches in education, upbringing and society and facilitates their scientific reflection, testing, evaluation and discussion.

In addition, the institute is committed to promoting young researchers and initiates new formats of multidirectional research transfer within the framework of projects and cooperations. Particular attention is paid to the use of digital media to support inclusive teaching and learning conditions.
