Our Mission

Transformative research and innovation for a future-proof, responsible and diverse agriculture and food industry.

Fostering a sustainable and resilient agricultural and food system

The Center of Sustainability Transformation in Areas of Intensive Agriculture is committed to this goal. It involves partners from science and industry. The network is working to develop future perspectives and options for action for intensive agricultural regions. In addition, cooperation has been agreed in the areas of study and teaching, further education and research cooperation. A nature conservation association and two Lower Saxony ministries provide advice and impetus to the network.

Within the framework of the cooperation, research in the areas of sustainable agriculture and food management is to be intensified. Questions of practical relevance will be addressed in joint dialog. The transfer of knowledge and technology between the participants will be expanded. The focus will be on areas such as the development of modern and resource-saving forms of production, as well as on questions relating to increasing demands on animal welfare and food quality. To support their research work, the universities aim to participate jointly in national or international programs. They also cooperate in the field of young scientists. Together, they develop offers for studies and teaching as well as in the further education of specialists and executives.
