Intercultural training

What is culture, essentially? What is intercultural competence? How do I communicate successfully in intercultural encounters to avoid, recognise and resolve misunderstandings?

These topics are at the centre of the intercultural training provided by the International Office. The trainings usually comprise two workshop days. You will receive a certificate for participation.

The trainings will be announced in StudIP.

Certificate of Intercultural Competence

By participating in an intercultural training course, you complete one module of the "Certificate of Intercultural Competence".

There are many gears in different sizes and shades of blue, which interlock. Inside of those gears are little symbols, such as a globe, a heart, a silhouette or a lightbulb. Some symbols keep repeating themselves.

Intercultural exchange

The International Office offers a variety of opportunities for intercultural exchange; through a stay abroad or locally in Vechta, for example with our mentoring programmes and (inter)cultural events.
