An educational science study for the future!

The Vechta educational sciences program enables students to deal with the future of modern societies. What do we still need universities for in the course of digitalization? How can schools prepare for a sustainable world? What is the contribution of child and youth welfare in a plural world? What is behind the "Education for all" movement?

The degree program offers answers and opens up a wide range of career opportunities in educational occupational fields.

The University of Vechta does not think of pedagogy only from the theoretical point of view, but keeps an eye on practice. Our educational science program therefore offers a variety of internships to familiarize oneself with different fields of pedagogy and to question them. Therefore, a wide range of competencies can be acquired in a practice-oriented manner in order to successfully realize one's career after graduation.

Possible fields of activity and occupation include early childhood education, all-day education (after-school care, all-day schools), open child and youth work, training and further education, adult education, education administration and planning, family and educational counseling or also personnel development in companies, universities and non-university research. In addition to the above-mentioned educational institutions, other fields of activity and occupation are offered by educational institutions for the elderly or special needs education, churches, trade unions and associations.

International study is supported: Semesters abroad and integrated study programs with partner universities can be integrated individually in the course of studies.
