Forschungskolloquium der Fakultät III (research colloquium of Faculty III)
The doctoral programme at the Faculty of Humanities and Cultural Studies was founded in 2013. It offers doctoral candidates the opportunity to present their doctoral thesis projects and discuss them with university lecturers and junior researchers. Doctoral candidates in humanities and cultural studies from abroad, who are temporarily supervised in Vechta, also have the opportunity to present their work. From the summer semester of 2021, the doctoral programme will be expanded into a research colloquium, in which academics from the humanities and cultural studies can present their research projects for discussion alongside doctoral candidates.

German Linguistics
This colloquium is the first German-French colloquium for young researchers in the humanities and cultural studies of the University of Vechta and the Université de Lorraine (for the first time on 9.07.2021). The methodological aspect is interdisciplinary research. The colloquium will be held bilingually (with simultaneous translation) and is open to all interested parties. The colloquium is currently being held online and registration online is requested. The lectures will be simultaneously translated into the other language. A continuation is planned for October 2021.

Colloquia "Is' was, Doc?" (What's up, Doc?)
"Is' was, Doc?"
is a colloquium for doctoral candidates and those interested in the doctoral and post-doctoral subject of design education.
Individual topics relating to the doctorate and doctoral thesis are dealt with here. In addition, the following recurring topics are dealt with on each of the four dates per year:
1st spring: preparation of the doctoral thesis
2nd summer: research design and methods
3. autumn: case studies
4. winter: Completion of the thesis

Umweltorientierte Wirtschaftsgeographie (UmWiG) (Environmental Economic Geography)
Professor Amelie Bernzen organises a doctoral programmeon Environmental Economic Geography (UmWiG) in cooperation with the Economic Geographies of the Universities of Cologne and Luxembourg. Every six months, there is a one- to two-day meeting where junior researchers in human geography (especially economic geography) can present their work and receive feedback in a very constructive environment.

Kolloquium Mathematikdidaktik (doctoral programme on Mathematics Didactics)
The target group of this programme is junior researchers with a research focus on the didacticsof mathematics and interested parties looking for an exchange on mathematics didactics topics from early education to higher education.

Vertrauen, soziale Verantwortung und Gerechtigkeit im Kontext aktueller gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen (trust, social responsibility and justice in the context of current societal challenges)
This is a newly offered programme in pedagogical psychology. The importance of trust and mistrust, loyalty, social responsibility and justice in the different areas of social coexistence are discussed here.

Katholische Theologie, Teildisziplin: Neues Testament (Catholic Theology, subdiscipline: New Testament)
This is a doctoral programme that takes place regularly at the University of Vechta and at Osnabrück University. It belongs to the Institute for Catholic Theology, Faculty III - Humanities and Cultural Studies.

Social ethics and social science
The ongoing digital event “Doctoral Colloquium/Reading Circle “Social Ethics and Social Science” offers doctoral candidates and students interested in pursuing a doctorate the opportunity to report on their research work and to receive valuable suggestions for their work through mutual exchange. In addition, the event serves to discuss academic texts from the thematic area of social ethics and social sciences.
